Why we bring everything — and know exactly what it does

When most cleaners show up, they work with whatever they find under your sink. A random spray bottle, a sponge that's been there for months, a mop you forgot you owned. The result is unpredictable — because the tools are unpredictable.
Every Gecko arrives with a fully stocked, professional kit. Perfected over 16 years. Not guesswork — a proven system.
Here's what's inside:
Our formulas
Three signature Gecko cleaners we make ourselves — a red all-purpose cleaner, a grey floor cleaner, and a blue bathroom formula. Plus a PRO toilet cleaner for tough stains, and Gecko Goo — our specialist formula for showers, sinks, and appliances.
Specialist tools most cleaners don't carry
- A squeegee to dry showers faster and more thoroughly
- A milk pitcher to rinse showers properly — no splash, no mess
- Razor blades to scrape floors before mopping and clean windows and appliances
- A floor crumber to prep floors before the mop ever touches them
- Rainbow Pads — if you know, you know. If you don't, your cleaner definitely should
- Magic Erasers for walls and surfaces that nothing else touches
- Scissors — specifically to cut hair out of the vacuum head (yes, we thought of that)
- Three toothbrushes for light switches, sink edges, and the spots everyone else skips
Cloths that actually make sense
22 cloths per kit — 14 coloured, 6 white, and 2 dedicated mirror cloths. Colour-coded so the cloth that touched your toilet never touches your kitchen counter. Ever.
Backup and safety
Latex gloves, masks for bad odours or client requests, SOS pads for ovens, plastic bags, hand cream for our team. Even a laminated price list and business cards — because a professional kit reflects a professional company.
We also bring our own vacuum and mop. Every time.
For specialist tasks — deep oven cleans, window washing — we bring what the job needs. And if you prefer we use your own products? We respect that completely. Your home, your rules.
But here's why our kit matters: we've used these tools for 16 years. We know exactly what each product does to each surface. We know what's safe on stainless steel and what isn't. We know when to use the SOS pad and when to leave it in the bag. That knowledge is the difference between a clean home and an accidentally damaged one.
No surprises. No shortcuts. Just a kit that works — because we built it that way.
